Colorado State Fair and the Taste of Colorado

Good day friends,
The Rough Cuts are finishing the summer strong this weekend and if you're in the area, we'd love for you to join us and close it out in style! This Friday, August 30, we're headlining the amphitheater at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. We're on from 9pm-11pm, details are available here. We are super honored to perform for our first time at the State Fair! 
Then, on Saturday, August 31, we're back in Denver and performing on the KYGO stage at the Taste of Colorado in Civic Park.  We're on from 1:45 to 4:15pm and its free! Details are available here.

Black Forest Fire benefit & Nikki's backyard party 8-25-2013

The Rough Cuts donated at set to benefit firefighters and victims of Colorado's Black Forest fire. We are happy to help any way we can, unfortunately this ended with a nice woman being hit by a car as we played.  We are thankful she is going to be okay and we want everyone to remember to BE CAREFUL and look out!!
Later that night Vic and I performed with Seth, Josh, and Trevor of Something Underground and Angie Stevens and our wonderful friend Nikki's house party.  It also happened to be Tommy's birthday, one of the best dudes ever. :)

Scooters, Celtic Tavern, Snack Attack 8-23/24-2013

Fun weekend! Starting with Bradley and I playing acoustic for Scooters happy hour. Thankful to share it with good friends!  ..and thanks for the chapstick Pat! ;).   Then we headed to the Celtic Tavern in Lodo, downtown Denver to close the night.  Honored to have Seth and Josh Larson of Something Underground sit in with us and well as Angie Stevens.  Thank you all!!
On Saturday Bradley, Vic and I performed at the CHUN Captial Hill Snack Attack downtown on Colfax!  I love this event, so fun and the food is great and the people are truly the best. I had a blast playing with Chris LaPlante from Denver's P-Nuckle too, love that dude.  Cheers!!

Empire Americana 8-17-2013

One of the best nights of the summer for sure, not only was the scenery stunning and the weather perfect, everyone there was in a special mood of happiness and gratitude. We were all having a good time just hanging out in the mountains!  The line-up of music was second to none, each performance was spectacular. We are honored to have been a part of it! Thank you to Amanda Capper and Mark Buckland for helping to bring us there. I hung out by the camp fire late into the night and slept in the mountains and woke to one of the prettiest mornings I've seen. Colorado, you are so special!!

I should also mention the comradery of the musicians, I sat in with Amanda Capper during her set, and she had other friends sitting in as well. We had Amanda Capper, Brent Loveday, Johnny Reno and Satchel Gleason sit in for some songs in our set. The Yawpers had Brent Loveday sit in. Bonnie and the Clydes had a fantastic set as did Andy Palmer. Super day of music on top of a super day of people on a super day on Earth! :)

Elizabeth Music & Art Festival 8-17-2013

Josh and I played this beautiful festival acoustic. Elizabeth is such a pretty town and the people are simply wonderful. The mayor asked us to sign his shirt!  If ever given a chance to do something in Elizabeth, Colorado, do it!  Thank you Michael Anthony and was also good to see Musicians In Action, Marc and Melanye, they do great work!

Bong-a-thon and Golden house party 8-2-13

I joined Demon Funkies to play the legendary Bong-a-thon, you can check it out at www.bong-a-thon.com we had a blast playing for the competitions, what a crazy party!!!
I high tailed back to Denver to play a house party in Golden with the Rough Cuts and our good friends from Ft. Collins, The Symbols. Great party!! ...alas we got shut down by the cops for playing too late. :/   Good times all around!!
